ABOUT

I am a local piano technician serving pianos throughout the Peace Region and northern Alberta. I make my home in the lovely community of Fairview, AB. I am a registered member of CAPT (Canadian Association of Piano Technicians).

I received my training from the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology, of Bend Oregon, which is the largest school training piano technicians in the world and has students and graduates in over 70 countries. Through the course I received training in subjects of piano tuning, repairing, regulating, voicing, dealer and manufacturer relations and business practices. I also keep my skills current through attendance at relevant conventions and seminars. My most recent course was through the Renner Academy of Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. There I honed my skills in grand regulation.

Fine pianos are still manufactured today, very much like they were in the past. However, tuning and maintaining today’s instruments, and those of the past, requires knowledge and skills of a highly trained piano technician. I believe in using the latest technology to produce the finest tuning possible for your piano.

Unlike most of the items people buy today, a fine piano is expected to last a lifetime and if it is serviced properly, by a competent piano tuner-technician, it can last for several generations.
